Following last month's fascinating interview with Bella West FBIPP. FRPS she's kindly agreed to show us some portrait photography tips of her own unique multi award winning style.
Portrait photography is more than simply photographing someones likeness. Great portraits capture a mood and feeling and provoke an emotion in the viewer.
Bella is one of my favourite portrait photographers. She is a mistress with light and uses available light for all her portraiture. Her style is very graphic and her child portraits are often moody haunting images.
In this film I'm Bella's assistant and help out with the reflector as she takes us through posing and composition, using the surroundings, Exposure, ISOs and shutter speeds and how to bring out personality in her top photography tips.
