Creative White Balance

7 Building Blocks of Photography 2

White balance is normally used to counter act colour casts in the light you're shooting in - but you can be creative with it too. (If you don't know what I'm talking about - see the Setting White Balance film first).

One damp evening Tom Mackie and I went out to Blea Tarn in the Lake District to have a play with creative white balance.

By selecting different WB settings you can change the colours of your finished Jpeg. These three shots were taken moments apart but each has a feel all of it's own.
