Lensbaby Pt. 2
In Lensbaby pt1 we looked at what it is and how it works - now it's time to go down the pub and take a couple of pictures with one.
To get the best from a Lensbaby it is a bit fiddly and you have to use manual exposure because there are no electronics - something I love about them. Just take your time and by thinking through the effect you want it's pretty simple.
In this video I’m using what’s called a Lensbaby Composer but they all work on the same principals. It's best to use a tripod with a Lensbaby when shooting something static because setting up the shot can be a bit of a faff and when you've got the shot locked off on the tripod it's that bit or work done and you can concentrate on exposure and effect.
The size of the sweet spot is controlled by the aperture size as well as depth of field. Apertures are like little washers and you change them with a magnet on a stick. No really! You simply pull out the one you don't want and pop in the one you do. For more about this fab lens visit the Lensbaby website.
