The west coast of Ireland is world famous for its rugged coast, stunning scenery and moody autumnal weather. A landscape photographer's wish list.
Who's it for?
All levels of photographer from beginner to experienced wanting to explore, shoot and invest in their photography. Tuition and guidance will be given on location to ensure you get great images and take your skills to a new level. Above all this is an opportunity to dedicate time to photography because like any skill, you have to do it to improve at it. What better way than with like minded people in stunning locations.

What will I learn?
Besides spending quality time with other photographers, you'll learn how to evaluate a location, pre visualise what you want to achieve from it and be coached to achieving your desired result. Landscape photography requires a lot of planning to get the light, weather and location to come together as an image.
On this workshop Tim and I have done most of this work already and will share what and how we did it, how to plan ahead and choose locations according to light and weather conditions so you don't waste precious time rushing from place to place hoping for a good one.
Patience, paying attention to the surroundings and being ready are vital for landscape photography. Capture these waves meant waiting for the perfect wave combined with a gust of wind to blow the droplets. Camera settings already set so the moment wasn't missed.
If you need help with camera skills, I'm on hand to teach and guide you with these at all times to ensure you get the very best images possible.
How do I get there?
There are direct flights from some UK and European cities to Farranfore airport in Kerry, which is 20 minutes by taxi to our 1st hotel in Tralee. Most international attendees will fly into Dublin international and change to a 50 minute connecting flight to Farranfore.
If you have time and want to explore you can rent a car in Dublin and it's a lovely days' drive to Tralee.

Philip Rogers is originally from Wales in the United Kingdom. However for the last 30 years he has lived in the Mediterranean area. First of all in the city of Barcelona in Spain before moving to the city of Tangier in Morocco where he has spent the last 20 years having met his wife there. During all of this period Philip has worked as an international travel and tourist guide covering the countries of Spain, Portugal and Morocco extensively.
Initially his love for photography came about through his work as a guide. Being inspired on his journeys to beautiful places and wanting to record them for himself for posterity. After buying his first DSLR camera however this interest changed into a passion and Philip is constantly to be found spending his time in natural surroundings where he never ceases to find wonder and awe at just how beautiful life is.
Philip’s style can be described as slow photography, capturing expressively small intimate scenes as well as gran vistas. He is a strong believer in the principles of Nature First and helps to promote them. Likewise, he is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society.
