7 Building Blocks of Photography has ...: made me think things through
(Choose closest: massively improved my photography overall - improved my photography - made me more confident - Made me think things through - made no difference - Confused me)
What are the differences before 7 Blocks & after?: (please complete)
I believe my problem is (a) finding a subject and (b) seeing the changes in light. The 7 Building Blocks has given me a check list that helps but not always easy to implement as most of my hobby photography is done with a friend on photo days out or when out with my wife, hence the time required to construct the image with the 7 blocks is difficult.
The 7 blocks is worth...? (please complete)
I am sure would be professionals and enthusiasts with even basic knowledge will find the course invaluable and gain serious benefit. In the general cost of on-line photography training, this course is excellent value for money.
Would you recommend The 7 building Blocks of Photography?:
YES! - It breaks down the process of 'building' and making a photograph in simple terms. It demonstrates well the practice needed and I like the style of Mike Browne.
Anything else?:
I found the course entertaining and full of useful information, well presented and fun to read and watch. The exercises were a little difficult to implement in my circumstances but I did my best - for example Block 2 Ex 4 - trying to wait for a sunny day in the week following block 2 and when it is sunny having the opportunity (not time) was difficult - as a result I attempted doing something similar indoors with a speedlight and model subject.
I would not say that I have fully achieved the goal of better photography or even probably thinking like a photographer but can say I enjoyed the course. As a retired lecture I fully appreciate that not everyone gets the full benefit from any training or education and therefore would not claim to have achieved nothing - feel free to return my fee - No Mike I am only joking.
Hope you don't mind I have posted a link (twice) on my website (www.shere2000.co.uk - see photography page and blog) promoting your course. Please feel free to contact me if you are ever in Bristol, especially if you fancy doing a Workshop in the area - we have some lovely places and historical venues.
