Besides exposure, lighting, composition, white balance etc - confusion is showing up as the number 1 problem - and we can see why.

Think back to when you learnt to drive. All those pesky gears and learning to use the clutch and brake and accelerator pedal whilst steering and remembering the rear view mirror whilst trying not to crash into anyone!

With some proper tuition and practice you mastered that confusing mess so well - you do it all subconsciously whilst daydreaming about the weekend. And we'll help you to be like that with your photography too.

Nothing in photography works in isolation so it's very hard to say - "The doodad button does this." Chances are it will also do this - and that - whilst affecting something else while it's at it.

Because of these 'cross-overs' we'll make sure we explain what's going on as simply as possible, so you'll sometimes hear the same thing mentioned two or three times across different films.

For example 'depth of field' is affected by aperture, focal length and the distance you are from the subject. So we'll make sure we mention it wherever cross overs happen.
