Creative White Balance
White balance is normally used to counter act colour casts in the light you're shooting in - but you can be creative with it too. (If you don't know what I'm talking about - see the Setting White Balance film first).
One damp evening Tom Mackie and I went out to Blea Tarn in the Lake District to have a play with creative white balance.
By selecting different WB settings you can change the colours of your finished Jpeg. These three shots were taken moments apart but each has a feel all of it's own.
7 Steps to Perfect Pictures has made m understand a lot more what the different tools do. Watching a free youtube video i would never have bothered to test out the difference between contrast and clarity, but since I've paid for this course I want to get the most out of it I therefore did exercises like that. This gave me a lot more knowledge about how to use the different tools, and what they do.
