Digital Photography ExposedThe exercises and tutorials in Digital Photography Exposed are principally written for DSLR users - but will still get you taking fabulous images with any camera - even mobile phones.
You'll find easy to follow step by step examples written in everyday language - so you get the information you need to make an immediate impact on your photography.
We only stick with technicalities you need and concentrate on photographic technique - because that's what makes the difference.
I promise you don't need to know the cause of chromatic aberration, barrelling in wide lenses or how an f.stop is calculated - you just need to know how to take great pictures!

Surprisingly few of the photography courses we looked at were even slightly engaging. When I was learning photography myself I often had trouble staying awake because most of the course work was so dull.
I wanted to know how to shoot interesting pictures of places and people I love as quickly as possible. I wanted each new skill to leave me bubbling with delight - I wanted to be excited not anaesthetised!
Why would you need to know what the f in f stop stands for and how it's calculated? You don't! You just need to know that a high f number = lots of focus and a low f number = only a bit of focus.
See, it's simple stuff like that that's in our photography course. We can give you all you need - step by step demonstrations to get fantastic pictures right away, and if we can have a couple of laughs at the same time - so much the better!

I have read a lot of books on photography and your beginners photography course is making all the technical stuff a lot clearer - as well as that you are very funny :) Emma Molyneux |

...I've read about 2/3 so far and it's exactly what I was looking for. Your course has demystified the scary parts of my camera and given me the courage and enthusiasm to go out and test just exactly what my camera can do! Mark Robinson |

| Now for the price of a lens cap I can use my D80 like it's supposed to be used. Thank you for developing such a useful, easy to read, fun photography course - I really loved it! Rajan The Magic Man Inner magic circle gold star member |

| Love the way it is written, as though you are talking, very easy to follow and light (humorous). Crawled to bed at 2 am after the first 40 pages!! David Gosling |

| I purchased your course a couple of weeks ago after seeing Mike on DSLR User Magazine's landscape DVD's. Even after such a short time, I can see a difference in the shots I'm taking and am now using the full facilities of my camera. Mike Plowman |

| Just a quick word of thanks for your photography course. It is fantastic to find something written in this way, that is so informative. Ian Price |

...Mike's colloquial style of writing is engaging and the information easy to read and digest. You've even shown how to copy the shots used to illustrate the course. I am now inspired to go out and snap away instead of putting my kit up for auction on ebay! Jill Pearce |

Digital Photography Exposed is packed with information to get
your images up to a professional standard, but it also guides you through the human issues other photography courses never mention.
These are secrets that can make or break both photograph and photographer! It's unlikely you will ever have heard these talked about before in the context of photography.
How do you look in a photograph if you're feeling anxious? How many times do you hear people say "The only pictures I look OK in are the ones I don't know are being taken?"
We all look fantastic when we don't know we're being photographed because we're relaxed. So do you think it's likely to be a benefit to us as photographers if we could make people feel feel great about themselves? - I'd say it's crucial!
I believe everyone on this planet is photogenic provided they're feeling good about themselves. In the wedding section of Digital Photography Exposed I'll share with you what has taken me 15 years to master.
How to make people feel great about themselves, so they look fantastic in your photographs. How many other courses share that kind of information?
There are four short videos to help youWe've shot some quick videos to illustrate a couple of points. Sometimes moving pictures can help to get the message accross better than words and stills alone.
They might not win a BAFTA - but they will help you get in control of your camera... |
You will make absolutely no difference at all. All the beautiful and amazing pictures you might have taken and the excitement and satisfaction of taking them will never happen.
The DSLR camera you saved to buy will end up on eBay and it'll all be a waste of time. I know so many people who've poured so much into the fulfilling, exciting world of photography but they're constantly doomed to un-fulfillment because they don't know how to use what they've bought.
All this is completely normal by the way. Thousands of people do it every year. But we don't want you to be normal.
We want to help you be outstanding - because if others hadn't helped us to be outstanding we'd never be doing what we are today.
We want you to buy the course (obviously - it's part of how we make money) and then DO it. Read the pages, do the exercises and watch the videos.
Put time aside and get into action because it will improve your photography, re-inspire you and give you some time out from your normal routine doing something you love.
Does that sound good to you? We do hope so because Jayne and I believe in everyone being a winner.
