Photographing Children Pt. 1
Everyone wants great pics of their children - but photographing children presents a unique set of challenges.
When photographing small children you never know what's going to happen so you need to have your camera set up and ready to go. And in this film I'm going to take you through that.
We'll look at choosing the right focal length to achieve the look you want, setting depth of field for a nice soft background and making sure you don't end up with soft pictures because of camera shake.
When photographing children you also need to think about where you're going to photograph them. Is the location somewhere stimulating for them or somewhere they'll feel inhibited? What time of day are they at their most excited and lively? It's not going to work if you try photographing your kids when they're tired and grumpy!
Photographing children is great fun and very rewarding when you get amazing images that captures their spirit. In photographing children pt2 we'll do the shoot itself and I'll tell you what I'm doing and why.
7 Steps to Workflow Mastery has made a huge difference to my workflow. I can now use the folder tree outside of Lightroom to safely store my images. My new workflow is easy to manage and well backed up as per Mikes advice. Mikes workflow is a 'belts and braces' system and has made life more enjoyable. The course is worth considerably more than the price and I definitely recommend it.
