Motocross photographers wanted

 13th Sep 2010

motocross-photographyAmateur photographers with an interest in motocross are being urged to enter a new competition aimed at finding the country's best motocross related photograph.

The competition, which is being run by Express Insurance, covers all angles of the motocross theme and entries could include anything from a picture of a static bike, to a shot of a professional rider in action or even a photo of a pair of gloves.

More than 250 entries have already been submitted and the closing date is 10 October.

Anyone wishing to enter should log onto Facebook and become a fan of Express Insurance UK at facebook.com/ExpressInsuranceUK and then upload their photographs to the fan page.

Once the competition closes, a shortlist of five potential winners will be chosen via a public online vote.

Renowned motocross photographer Ray Archer, who is helping to judge the entries, said, “There is a wealth of talent out there and it will be a tough competition to judge. The images are conveying all the elements of this fantastic sport and I’m looking forward to spending time with the winner.”

The overall winner will receive £250 worth of KTM gear and a private photography lesson with Ray Archer. The runner-up will win a Flip HD Video Camera and a pair of tickets to a round of their choice at the 2011 Maxxis Motocross championships. Third prize is a pair of tickets to a round of their choice at the 2011 championship.
