A photography competition has been launched in the Stour Valley designed to capture the beauty of the area. Need help with your camera, have a look at the back to basics on our Ultimate Beginners Course
by Mike Browne.
Dubbed 'Capturing a Masterpiece,' the contest has three categories, which include 'A Year in the Stour Valley,' 'The Farmed Landscape' and 'The Stour Valley Heritage,' all of which have been organised by Managing a Masterpiece, the Stour Valley Landscape Partnership.
There are prizes on offer for the winning entries as well as the chance to appear in a final exhibition of the best entries. The overall winner of each category will win £100 of vouchers to be spent on photography equipment, while a further £100 will be allocated to the best children's image and the best overall winner will also win £100.
Meanwhile, all of the prize winners will be invited to attend a free photography training workshop offered by Malcolm Farrow from The Suffolk Photo Agency.
People who want to take part need to send their entries for the autumn season in by 16 December. The deadline for winter entries is 2 March 2012, spring entries is 8 June 2012 and the final deadline for summer entries is 14 September.
