Drawing amateur and professional photographers alike, the festival will comprise six days of photography workshops, discussions, lectures, exhibitions and more.

Held this year at beautiful Somerset House, the festival will also feature talks from famous international photographers such as Yasima Reggad and Tom Stoddard, which will take place alongside workshops taught by experts from iStock, Foto 8 and Blurb.

An exhibition of photographer Bruce Davidson's work will also be displayed in Somerset House's Terrace Rooms from 26 April to 22 May as part of the festival. It will include some of his best known works from the Circus and East 100th Street collections.

Managing Director of the World Photography Organisation, Scott Gray, said, "We are proud to honour Bruce Davidson at the forthcoming Sony World Photography Awards for his truly outstanding contribution to photography.

"As a founding member of our World Photographic Academy, Bruce has been part of our family since we first launched the awards. We are thrilled to be awarding a friend and true master of photography," he added.

The World Photography Festival will be held alongside the Sony World Photography Awards Gala Ceremony, which will see some of the world's most striking images go on display for visitors to enjoy. The Gala Ceremony will be held at Leicester Square's Odeon cinema on Wednesday 27 April.
