Winter wildlife photography competition continues

 31st Jan 2012

A photography competition focusing of capturing wildlife during winter is still running, giving budding photographers around another four weeks to enter.
The WWT Welney winter event will no longer receive entrants after 29 February, so there isn't long to capture a perfect wintery image at the wetlands site.
Fortunately there is plenty of choice. The location offers some picturesque views across the water, as well as the chance to see some wildlife up close, such as swans and ducks, the Fenland Citizen reported.
With the array of options in mind, entrants will need to decide which category they want to enter and they can find more information about these on the following website: www.wwt.org.uk/photo/
It is well-worth looking further into the options involved as the prizes up for grabs are substantial. For example, those that make it through the local round to be entered in the national competition will have a chance of winning the grand prize of a 12-day fully inclusive trip to Antarctica, courtesy of Exodus and Quark Expeditions.
Canon is also helping to run the event and there are likely to be some further prizes on offer from the camera company. If you need a little help with your camera skills for competitions of this nature, the Photography Courses E book written by Mike Browne might be for you
