Street Photography Pt. 2
When you're shooting street photography on a market don't just rush in and start snapping. Always remember to ask stall holders if it's OK. Tell them what you're doing and why you're doing it and most of the time people are very helpful.
Get their email address and send them a couple of images as a thank you because it polite - and you might want to go back next week and you'll have made a friend.
Sticking with our still life theme for now, a wide lens gives you a great sense of intimacy with the subject when you get in close to something and because of the wide field of view you can often include people in the composition without them realising it.
A long lens has the opposite effect and is great for isolating the subject and excluding what's going on around you. This makes your street photos concentrate on the subject more than the environment.
