DFS is opening a new shop at the Boundary Retail Park in Colne and hopes to add some local feeling to the store. In a public vote, Pendle Hill was chosen over Blackpool Tower and Lancaster Castle as the favourite Lancashire landmark and now a photography competition is looking for the best pictures of the hill.

 

The winning image will be printed onto canvas and displayed in the DFS store, according to reports from the Clitheroe Advertise.

 

The furniture store's area manager Adam Hankinson told the paper: “We are looking for that really special shot that captures Pendle Hill in a special and beautiful way. The winning shot will take pride of place in the store for everyone to view. I’m really excited to see what people come up with.”

 

Entrants don't have long to send their pictures in as the deadline is Friday 27 January. Which gives those amateur photographers a chance to brush up on their skills before attempting to tackle a competition, for advice Photography Courses are perfect. Pictures can be emailed to , but people who are keen to take part need to be willing to take part in any PR related to the competition and must also consent to having their photo used in marketing, advertising, PR and in-store promotion for 12 months.
