 31st Mar 2011

pembroke fish week photo competitionDust off your cameras and brush up your skills with our photography videos and courses, because Amateur photographers with an interest in the ocean should enter their photographs into this year's Pembrokeshire Fish Week contest.

The annual fishy event, which is to be held this year between 25 June and 3 July, is packed with more than 250 events celebrating the area's first-class seafood, beautiful coastline, clean beaches and rich maritime heritage.

The photography contest, run in honour of the week, has a theme of 'tidal,' and is calling for entries which fall in line with the theme. Images can be either colour or black and white, and must be submitted in A4 size, along with a title, name and contact details.

The contest will be split into two different categories, with the winner of the 18 years and over receiving a case of wine and a £50 voucher for Amazon, whilst the winner of the 11 to 18 category will pick up a canvas of their photograph and a £50 Amazon voucher.

The entries will be judged by Ian Richards of Pembrokeshire Photography, David Wilson of David Wilson Photography and Barbara Simon, Pembrokeshire College’s head of photography.

Email your entry, by 8 June, to joanne.welch@pembrokeshire.gov.uk.
