Amateur photographers to compete for motorsports prize

 6th Dec 2011

Amateur photographers have been invited to compete for a motorsports prize that should also help them further their photography skills. To help you we have a beginners guide to photography which can be found at Photography Courses.

The inaugural Motorsport Photography competition is to offer one winner photography accreditation for the world-renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In addition to this ultimate prize, five finalists will be chosen to attend Autosport International 2012 in January of next year. They will be treated to a programme of live racing, car exhibitions and sporting personalities.
The event is being organised through The Photography Blog and is open to any amateur photographer aged over 18. To stand a chance to win, individuals need to submit an original image on the theme of Motorsport.
Entries will be judged by a professional photographer from LAT Photographic, the largest motoring photographic collection in the world, as well as Photography Blog's editor Mark Goldstein and representatives from Autosport magazine and the Goodwood circuit.
Those that want to take part have until 1 January to get their entries sent in along with their name, address and contact telephone number. The winners will then be chosen and announced at a later date.
