Food Photography Pt. 2

When it comes to food photography it's very often a case of less is more. We're going to be photographing afternoon tea for The Thatched Cottage restaurant who want to show off the entire sumptuous champagne tea spread.

The problem with having everything together at once is it can look overcrowded because there's too much going on in the photos. The viewer's eye doesn't know where to look.

Wherever possible I prefer to isolate and photograph one or two items within the whole with a long lens. This makes you concentrate on the food itself whilst still giving you a hint of the surroundings.
