I've noticed that the link at composition to the video 'scene in a scene' directs you to 'Frame in a frame'. It's a duplicate. Where can I find the scene in a scene video?

I would like to take a potrait of someone at sunset? I have seen photographs where you can see the person nicely (not a silohoutte) and the sunset in the background. The subject of the photograph is in the foreground of the photo, with the sunset way in the background.

Maybe there is a video of this on the site, but at this moment I don't see it.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Living in Dubai, I'd like to capture the the skyscraper skyline at night. My attempts have been pretty ropey so far. Any tips, suggestions would be most welcome.

I'm lucky to be living in the UAE at the moment and will be travelling to the Liwa Desert, famous for its sand dunes. I'd like to be able to take some decent landscapes of the dunes and the wadis. Any tips and guidance appreciated. I have an old Nikon D60 and a few decent lenses (18-55, 55-200 & Tamron up to 400)

Terri asked me to post my question to the forum, so here it is:

I will be shooting a heavy metal concert on February 11th for a band that is one of three headlining bands. I have done a little research on concert photography, but wonder how you might approach such a situation where there will be a LOT of movement, different colored and flashing lights/strobes, etc. I will either be down in front of the stage or possibly on stage off to the side.

I always shoot in full manual and I think if I try to shoot in AV or TV it will get it wrong. What do you think? Surely not full auto?

How does one get catch lights in a person's eyes when taking photos in a naturally lighted shoot? Especially when it is a cloudy or darker hued day?

I have very recently got into photography with the main purpose of capturing the lives of my 2 year old daughter and my soon to be born second child. I am slowly edging my way along the steep learning curve but every picture I take usually involves me taking 20 of the same pic on 20 different settings until I eventually take a picture that almost resembles what I was hoping to achieve. Are there any tips that will help me be able to capture spontaneous shots of my daughter because unlike picturesque scenery which remains constant for a long time my daughter doesnt sit still for 2 seconds. Is it just a case of practice practice practice until my camera controls are second nature to me and my knowlegde is such that i actually know what settings to select or are there any tips of settings to have my camera on as a default ????? please help
