Calendar photography competition launched

 18th Jan 2012

A photography competition has been launched in a bid to find the perfect collection of 12 images for a calendar.

Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold, near Droitwich Spa, is running the event for the eighth consecutive year, after customers showed such a strong level of interest. In fact, 330 photographers entered their pictures last year, leaving judges with quite a task to pick just 12.
Anybody can enter the event, whether they are an amateur photographer or someone who is just taking a new interest in the subject. To take part, people need to head down to the store in Wychbold and pick up a form, or head to webbsdirect.co.uk to download the form.
Executive chairman Ed Webb told the Droitwich Advertiser: “Photography has moved on apace with digital cameras making taking great pictures simple for almost everyone, not just a professional. We are surrounded by such beautiful countryside and gardens in Worcestershire that we don’t need to go far to capture some fantastic images.”
In addition to having their photographs published in the calendar and credited, the 12 winners will each receive Webbs gift vouchers worth £30, along with 12 copies of the calendar to give to their friends and family. If you need some help to improve your image taking then Mike Browne of Photography Courses can help. We offer our Photography tips completely free of charge.
