British Journal of Photography Awards open for entries

The British Journal of Photography is opening its International Photography Awards competition for new entries.

The total prize fund for the competition is £13,000 and keen photographers can win by either being voted as the creator of the best body of work or the best single image ­ so there are two chances to win!

The winner of the body of work category will also win a LEAF CAMERA, while the single image winner wins a SIGMA DP2 camera.

More importantly than the prize money is the chance for the winners to have their own shows at a leading London photography gallery. They will also have their images shown in the British Journal of Photography.

Unlike many other photography competitions, there is no theme to the images to be submitted. The Journal’s website simply states that people should enter their ‘most compelling work.’

The deadline for entries is 11 September and each entry costs £25 for the body of work category, while entering a single image costs only £5.
